Am I Eligible For Health Insurance Subsidies?
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires everyone to have health insurance. If you do not receive healthcare coverage through an employer, Medicare, or Medicaid, you may be eligible for federal financial help to assist you in paying for your plan.-
What is a Health Insurance Subsidy?
Health insurance subsidies were established through the ACA to help individuals and families offset costs related to health insurance. There are two types of health insurance subsidies; The Advanced Premium Tax Credit which helps lower your monthly premium costs depending on your income and household size, and Cost-Sharing Reductions, which are extra savings related to out-of-pocket costs, including lowering your deductible, coinsurance, copays, and out-of-pocket maximum .
-
Can I Get a Subsidy?
To qualify for a health insurance subsidy, you must meet one of the following criteria: if your household income is between 100% and 250% of the federal poverty line, you are eligible for both the Advanced Premium Tax Credit and Cost-Sharing Reductions; if your household income is more than 250% of the federal poverty line, you could be eligible for the Advanced Premium Tax Credit and pay no more than 8.5% of your expected annual income towards premiums.

There are a few windows of opportunity available for you to enroll in a private health insurance plan.-
